Thank you so much Reinier for posting this one. She's of special significance for me because of her 22 years as the Canadian flag LADY FRANKLIN that I photographed many times on the St.Lawrence River. This is a great shot of her in her present guise and I must say she looks well-maintained.

Regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,

Thanks your commends. I know that she was working since a long time for canadian Owners in Artic waters and during winter laid up in Montreal. I bougth the vessel in December 2003 and after struckling with the Canadian Coast Guard only two monthts later she was allowned to sail, what a bunch of stupid assholes. No one should buy a vessel in Canada. !

The vessel came down to the PG and I ( Marine management SCMT) sold her in October 2004. Now trading India areas, close to breakers, however she is a good and well build vessel and was well maintained by canadian owners.

Regards

Reinier

Hi! Dealing with ANY governement authority is one heck of an experience :-( . Nonetheless, with the River and all, ships must be top shape to protect the environement and Seaway. I'm sorry you had to have troubles. Of what Origins were they? That ship was superbly well maintained
