Victor radio74, if you have a vested interest in the ships of the class SALTE, initial letters of Saúde, Alimentação, Transportes and Energia, see the following link (http://www.blogmercante.com/2010/04/60-anos-de-fronape -a-history-of-overcoming /). The ships of the class in question were considered insufficient to meet the demand of the time. So went on sale, being purchased by owners of state of Rio Grande do Sul, which converted them into bulk carriers. The shipowners PETROSUL purchased several examples but it is in operation only one ship that is the FNP Rio Grande do Sul. The shipowers NAVEGAÇÃO ALIANÇA guard because it has two examples, which are vessels TREVO NORTE and TREVO LESTE, both converted into bulk carriers. Greetings, Mundo Náutico.

I think the description is wrong. The ship built in 1951 should be this one: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1457608
Marcelo Vieira posted this ship as built in 1980 http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=504125
