Nice shot! I like the silhouette of the skipper against the sky. She sure looks more efficient than pretty, but she is a tug.

Yeah great shot. The Lynn Marie and the Marshall are two of my favorite boats on the West Coast, they were ahead of their time power wise.

Michael, I'll definitely agree with you there. Certainly no one can say they put looks before capability in the case of this tug.

If it would be a model, I would say, that the builder has mixed up the scales between hull and superstructure.

Thanks, Jeff. I'm glad I got a chance to catch her, it seems she paid a rare visit for only a day or two before heading back south.

Excellent photo of this tug, Kyle.

I can't really say i know for sure, but my best guess is she may have brought something up here, and is now waiting for a return tow, so they have her fiddling around with other tasks in the meantime, like assisting in the CMA CGM ATTILA yesterday. That seems to be the standard around Seattle for Foss. The ANDREW FOSS seems to be about the only tug consistently doing ship assists in the port, and is partnered with whoever is in town that day.

I wonder what they brought the Lynn Marie all the way up there for, I don't think her or the Marshall has ever been North of San Francisco.
