Description:
The 1969 Gdansk built IONA YAKIR (or JONA JAKIR), owned by the Black Sea Shipping Company of Odessa, was photographed entering the Suez Canal northbound at Port Tewfik on 23rd June 1995. Her last reported movement in LSI at that time was sailing Los Angeles in March en route from Chimbote for Dalian!
As JULIA III, a name which she took in 1996, she was beached at Alang on 30 June 1998 to be broken up.
