COMMENT THIS PHOTO(1)
After fourteen months docked at Gibraltar and having arrived as 'SS Rembrandt', the veteran 'SS Rotterdam' left Gibraltar on the 24th November 2005. Assisted by four harbour tugs, the ship was backed out of the Harbour and once outside, was taken under tow by the Spanish tug 'V B Artico', (seen here with a blue hull) bound for Cadiz. There she will complete full refurbishment to restore her to full glory, before being returned to Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where she will be used as a hotel, museum and cultural centre.
