Description:
Cowichan Bay, Vancouver Island BC, February 1963. Laid down by West Coast Shipbuilders Ltd, Vancouver BC as FORT MACKINAC, was completed in 1944 as DOMINION PARK (Canada) 1944-46; One of four similar ships acquired in 1946 by the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand for their Trans Pacific Service and renamed WAIHEMO 1946-66; Sold in 1966 and renamed MARIA SUSANA (Panama). After grounding damage off India in 1971 was broken up at Kaohsiung in 1972.
