Description:
Photo taken in early 1966 from ST London Tradition in the Straits of Gibraltar.
This was taken from the port wing of the Tradition’s bridge. The Tirgoviste had been closing with us all watch and it had become likely that all three would pass each other near simultaneously when Spyros showed up heading the other way. It was nail biting to see if we would line up for the shot.

Jadran, yes isn't it? I think lane separation must have taken a lot of the excitement out of being at sea, along with reducing collisions and good photo opportunities.

The crossing of these two ships on the pic ( including also your tanker as the third ) looks comparably like a "very-very close" airplanes' crossing in the air.
