"Auriga" is one of 88 Constellations. It also lends its name to the Latin for "Charioteer". (Thank You Wikipedia.)(Not an indigenous Indian name then..as I first suggested.sorry!)

You are welcome Michael, just wondering where the Peruvian name is coming from, Miramar has Auriga as the only name it ever carried.

IMO 6515497, according to Miramar "deleted in 1998" so presumably laid up to rot somewhere, or broken up at an unknown place and date.
