She was built and always remained a 100% classic general cargo ship of those years ( including cargo masts/derricks, tween decks in cargo holds, etc).
Later they started stowing container "boxes" on the main deck as pioneers of the forthcoming container trend.

These last generation of good looking break-bulk cargo ships looked out of place with a deckload of the new age boxes! mrdot.
