Just to let you all know that I have written an illustrated feature on Strick Line which is being published in the October 2012 edition of Ships Monthly which should be available in first week of September

A lot of 'red lead' color applied on her topsides for primary hull maintenance.

How nice to see a picture of a Strick vessel, have fond memories of them in Bahrain in the early 70's.

It's having the same effect on me too David...waiting in the crowded Shatt al Arab anchorage, then chugging upstream to Abadan to load or Basrah to discharge. Memories so vivid, but such a long time ago. Thanks for reviving those images.... and a pretty fine photo of this beaut too!

That's for sure Gordy. Uploading these pictures has turned my PC into a time machine. I look at this and it is just like being on the wing of the bridge again on the day I took it.
