I now understand that this photograph of the 1953 built BRITISH SAILOR was taken in 1954 from on board the LONDON MAJESTY which was built in 1952 and sold in 1964

As Barnesy's condensed reply infers; it is at Mina-al-Ahmadi, Kuwait. South pier. And Oh, what a nostalgic photo before the big ships came and took over.
A marvellous image Malcolm. Thanks.
Regards, Rick

Although she is almost identical to the London Majesty there is a difference in that the Majesty has very prominent spars visible on the awning top. The photos I can find of her sisters tend not to have much of a view from this direction. At a guess, it might be the London Victory but my track record isn't that good.

Yes indeed Malcolm, I zeroed in on this picture the moment I opened the web page. She is very much like the London Majesty, but she did have some sisters. Nice to see her anyway. I'll point the picture out to Roy Gerstner at LOF-News and see if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.
