Description:

On October 6, 2002, the Limburg (later became 'Maritime Jewel') was carrying 397,000 barrels of crude from Iran to Malaysia, and was in the Gulf of Aden off Yemen to pick up another load of oil when a dinghy filled with explosives rammed the starboard side of the tanker and detonated. The vessel caught on fire and approximately 90,000 barrels of oil leaked out of her hull. She was later repaired at Drydocks World Dubai in 2004.

Yes, after a couple of coats of paint. I was a Coating Advisor back then and we supplied all of the coatings during her repair. You can imagine how many litres of paint we applied on her, internal and external.
