Built by Harland and Wolff, Ltd, Belfast (yard 1326), was launched on November 26, 1946, completed in July 1947 and departed on her maiden voyage London to Auckland on August 1, 1947.

1969 scrapped at Taiwan.

This is either Athenic or Corinthic. Gothic and Ceramic differed in having a soft-nosed stem and mushroom vents around the funnel. El Guapo, you have probably seen a photo of Athenic after she was reduced to cargo only status when part of her passenger accommodation and two lifeboats were removed.

El Guapo...If its not the Athenic, it could be the Gothic, it had Athenic written on it but I checked another similar vessel, the Gothic and she looks very much the same. It could be the Gothic...Gordy

Are you sure it is Athenic? There are extra lifebots and significant additions to superstructure compared to other photos.
