my point was that you said against all regulations, which it is not.
If it then is done, or if the look outs are visible at the moment of taking the picture is a different story.

Why? One can post fwd and in the wings each a look out,,and the regulations are fullfilled.
Where it is writen that the entire vision must be free.
One has to make sure that all view angles are manned and look outs are placed accordingly.
Don,t forget, the colregs are based on manual opeation of a ship and not steering it in automatic/using ECDIS/using GPS and so on. It is still based on personal lookout and use of all means to navigate safe.
In all the colregs is nothing mentinoned of electronic navigation only etc,,as matter of fact ECDIS for example,,the non plus ultra nowadays is classified as navigational aid and that is good so!!!!
