So I found out that those sails called the "Princeton sailwings", used mostly on light airplanes.

I guess sails have such shape because when a sail gets spread by it's free upper end it gets tensioned & thus keeps it's wing shape.

It's a catamaran with 8 wacky sails. Those sails actually look like wings because they are wrapped around masts.
