No wonder all who were working on such bridges back in the days now suffer from various legs diseases more than any other elders!

One of the deadly sins : sitting in a chair during watch. At that time

Hard life in those days without the conveniences we have today.

And nowhere chairs where the OOW sits and sleeps until they are aground. There was a reason for that, no chairs on the bridge !

That simplicity and few electronic elements of that time.
