Description:

On my last visit in Trieste, I came in on the area where the ship is and could see that she had the name SHIVA painted in the stern along with Hamburg as home port. Anyone know her previous name and history?

Nope. That was a German Custom cruiser. Neither missiles nor any other heavy weapons. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/95/Hamburg_Zollmuseum_Zollkreuzer_01_KMJ.jpg

Look like an old Missile boat...Or Fast attack Craft.
These sort of ships were normally armed with exocet missiles.

Must be an old Germany customs cruiser, surely not navy.

Hi,

its great to see her- she was bearthed for some time in Marina Izola, Slovenia... I was told that she was used by German navy.
