Although she measured a "mere" 150,500dwt, she was one of the few large tankers in the Soviet fleet. The Soviets had no VLCC's or ULCC's. I guess they did not need them as they were (and are) a net exporter of oil and during the Soviet era they probably did not have the commercial incentive to own any VLCC's or ULCC's.

she was Russian (for this time USSR). Homeport was Novorossiysk.
