Retired by Chandris as the Romanza and after a long lay up in Perama the ROMANTICA is seen here at Larnaca, Cyprus.She is operated by John Louis Cruises offering three day cruises to Egypt along with Princss Victoria. The ROMANTICA was built by Blohm and Voss in 1939 as the Hugscaron for the Hamburg/America Line.

This was IMO 5030854, which also sailed as BEAVERBRAE (Cargo) and AURELIA (Passenger).

Actually, the Fort Townshend was the former Chandris ship Romantica not to be confused with Chandris Romanza later Cypriot owned Romantica.
I was happy to work on board the Romanza as Excursion Officer in 1985.
