Hi, Milko! Nice to see this old cargo-liner. I was crewmember of twinship Atalanta, build 1977 in Sendai, Japan. Hope she is still going on!!

Pharos is still active as Maldive Star, her mate in Jadroplov, Kairos is now Maldive Carrier and, unfortunately, your Atalanta was scrapped in September 2002 at Chittagong as Sea Horse.

I remember her as NAXOS I interesting cargo.

She was built as RENATE WUNSCHE, name NAXOS I she had in the period 1978 - 1979 ( owner FLETADOR MERKUR TRADING & SHIPPING CORP. PANAMA, manager PETER DOHLE ). From 1979 to 1980 she was ADRIA I, and after that PHAROS.
