Beautiful photo and brings back memories. I sailed on the Makarska as passenger from Yugoslavia to Indiana (near Chicago) on last voyage of the season in 1978, just before ice set in. On deck as part of the general cargo were two black rhinos heading for a zoo in USA. Just over a month enroute. The Master is still around! Spoke with him a year or so ago. This is a very fine image my friend.

Nice reflection on water,great angle,lighting...Great!She sunk on 31.07.1979 after collision with Sydney Express of Hapag Lloyd near Cabo de Gata,Spain.

You are completely right Dennis, I thoroughly agree with you !

MAKARSKA had an icebreaker type bow & was the first Yugoslav flaged ship to have a bow thruster (together with her sisters Alka & Split).
