Well hello Eric, as you can tell from the ominous cloud formation that this was taken just after a SW front came through - 55 knots at the time, rain etc etc - or then again maybe you can't. It is your type of ignorant comment that may stop many from putting forward their favourite shots - I hope not.
Anyway like Chris Howell in Bluff ( whose photography is matched by very few ),other contributors have been very kind and to any other readers these type of photos are regular in our WSS emag. To anyone interested in receiving please contact me of on [email protected] and will forward.

Keep the up close and personal shots coming Peter. The Profile for Eric shows that he has never uploaded a photo to the site.

Exactly right, unlike myself who has the Skipper as a friend so only have to worry about taking the photo, Peter who I know, is driving the pilot boat as well, also photography is like wine, everyone has their own tastes !

Hilarious Eric! You really have a grasp on the concept of snatching an action shot in the midst doing a job that itself requires your full attention. Keep them coming.

David

I would suspect this is made from a pilotvessel or a tug, fat chance getting proper conditions for a perfect photo in choppy waters and partly cloudy.

But thats just my fem øre's.

Not a good photograph , what happened to the sky ? this is a example of a person just pointing the camera and shooting without putting any thought into the whole picture and how it will turn out , typical of many pictures on this site .

Good one Peter! Were you "up close and personal after putting pilot on board" as when you took http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1843069
