Another classic Camcraft crewboat, this one begun as CAPT REX but completed in 1975 as CLIPPER JACK for Clipper Fleet Inc. She was brought to the West Coast while oil drilling was still booming off the coast of Santa Barbara. Once drilling there began to wain, she was sold to Jackson Offshore. Jackson was absorbed into the Tidewater Marine fleet, and in 1991 she was renamed GEERD TIDE. In 2000 she was purchased by SoCal Ship Services and renamed NICHOLAS L. SoCal later bought the remainder of the Tidewater West Coast fleet of crew boats. Her U.S. Official Number is 562749 (99 GRT) and there is no evidence of an IMO number assigned.
