Description:
This vessel was originally the Navy single-screw Covered Lighter (Yard Freighter) YF 221, built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1933. She worked for the Navy until sold, and in 1963 was registered as the freighter DELAWARIAN (ON 291085, 370 grt) out of Chrisfield, MD. In just a few years she migrated to the Pacific Northwest and was renamed RONDYS. She went through various owners and modifications through the years, ending up as a twin-screw fishing boat. In 1994 she and a number of other fishing vessels were purchased by Russian-flag owners, but she somehow returned to U.S. flag and retained her fishing rights in 2004. The shear lines on her hull represent the major modifications she's received over the years.
