I believe since it was an american ship, that they've put on her 2 of the triple E engines and do some burnout with her still moored, and yell like hillbillies and shot guns in the air.

She is an american vessel and has we all know they dont take very good care of their ships. It's a shame that the largest container carrier in the world left their vessels in such conditions.

Never my favorite ship to sail on, it's a shame to see her like this. I have seen worse though,, http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1495903

She was sent over and reflagged. She is no longer a U.S. flag vessel.

This reminds me of the WW2 Liberty ships - those were built only to make a trip across the Atlantic & few trips around Europe until they had a crack in the hull & broke in half.
Same here - Americans will wear her out until scrapping will be cheaper than repairing.

Talk about rust

Oh the Americans are very good at profitable thinking - a ship does not earn money with its paint on the hull, so - that why the US flagged ships tend to look like that quite often :-) :-)

A renaming in "SEA-LAND RUSTIER" would solve the problem anyway ;-)

Is she do for a refit or the scrap yard?

She's kind of a metaphor on the state of the U.S. merchant fleet.

What a state she's in , the term 'rustbucket' isn't too far away.
