Description:
KAPITÄN MEYER at her usual berth, Bontekai, Wilhelmshaven, 21.09.2013
A former buoy tender, she has an interesting history. Built in 1950 she's been the first new building built by a German shipyard after World War II (which is NOT true, see Peter's comment below. Took this incorrect info from wikipedia), and she's the last preserved ocean-going twin-screw steam ship in Germany...
See http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapitän_Meyer for more details (only in German though)
