On October, 22nd, 2002 at ten o'clock 30 minutes of local time at accomplishment of flight of Aktau - Baku during a storm and a squally wind with gusts to 30 km/s have sunk in Caspian sea in 80 miles from Baku on depth of 160 metres. Displacement of bulk petrol waggons with a crude oil and the subsequent overturning of a vessel became the railway accident reason. According to the official data 44 persons and 13 persons have perished have been salvaged as a result of a salvage operation. The total of people onboard has not been installed.
As a result of incident also there was an oil spill from the damaged tanks and formation of an oil slick by a length 15 and breadth of 8 kilometres.
In a salvage operation and the dues of the spread petroleum participated more than 15 courts and 7 helicopters, including court of Caspian shipping company Professor Gul, Nakhchivan. For conducting of an underwater works tug boat-rescuer Neftegaz-64 was used.

Hi, as far as i know this one was originaly built in Uljanik shipyard as SOVETSKIY TADŽIKISTAN. She could carry 28 standard rail cars located on the deck, 50 cars in the holds, and she had rooms for 200 passengers.
