2007-21-oct.Under arrest in Rogues Corner at Las Palmas on 13/11/2007 after arriving on 21/10/2007.
She was detained in an International Operation involving Spanish Customs, the Armada and Others 80 Nautical miles off the Senegalese Coast after a long surveillance from Venezuela.
She was detained with 3,700 kilos of Cocaine aboard destined for Northern Europe and the six crew- two Dutch and four Ghanaians were arrested and detained for court appearance in Las Palmas.
The vessel seems in reasonable condition for her age but will, like so many before her, remain here for years before ownership and title is determined by a Court. Invariably, all the ships detained, to my knowledge, have been sold for scrap after the detention period.
The Spanish Authorities determined that Cocaine is selling for €30,000 per kilo in the EU.... that puts a nominal value of €111 million for her cargo.
Not a bad value for the cargo of an old coaster!

The vessel should have been scrapped five years ago after being involved in an accident in the port of Lerwick, in the Shetland Islands, in which a Polish seaman was killed. However, it ended up in the Caribbean where it was bought by drug barons and used to haul the illicit drug.
