Hi Reinier

Nice shot of an interesting vessel. But unfortunately this was never owned by Hansa. She was built in Poland in 1978 as Strathewe for P&O, London, one of six sisters. When they introduced more containerships to their fleet they sold five to Sea Traders SA of Greece, owned by the Prokopiou brothers. It was this co. that renamed her Lindenbels, following the style from earlier vessels that they had purchased from DDG Hansa of Germany. Hansa named their vessels with the well known "fels" suffix, so the Greeks just changed the 'f' to a 'b' when they took them over.

Cheers

Brent

Thanks for your detailed update, which I have noted, thougth about the ex name and automatically thougth she was ex Hansa Vessel, but as you rigthly stated it was ex P&O to Prokopiou Brothers.
