Today, November 23rd, 2014, I see on AIS, that the ships has departed Ramsgate and is heading for Lagos, ETA December 6th, 2014. Now 78 nautical miles West of Porto, Portugal, speed 10 - 11 knots. In the Norwegian Parliament questions have been made to the Minister of Foreign affairs and the Minister of Defense about sale of ex Norwegian military ships, incl. "Horten". Norwegian authorites has asked UK authorities not to let "Horten" sail from Ramsgate. Today it seems to be in vain.

I thought she had changed to UK flag when entering Britain, after leaving Horten Norway on February 2014. This ex Royal Norwegian Navys Auxiliary has never been a Fishery Patrol Wessel. Some time ago she was intended sold for anti piracy mission, but Norwegian authorities did not approve armament on board. Anyone know anything about her new mission?
