Sad to see the Danish built coaster, 50 years old, under such circumstances. She was one of the small ships in the fleet of a prospective Danish shipowner. But that were the days.....

Hi Yvon. Nice shot. Good colors. Interesting wreck for the position and conditions. A lot to speculate about why...Congratulations.

Hi Yvon. Sad shot of this nice ex-Marstal ship. Thanks for posting.
However, somebody should have a serious talk with the godmother/sponsor of this name, - and find out how she got that idea :-). No "divine navigation skills" here, for sure.

Well Captain Ted, if your theory is correct, I guess the guy is nursing a rum somewhere in a cut-price bar....telling all & sundry how fickle the sea can be.
There but for the grace......?

@Yvon
thanks info,, those small Caribbean coaster Masters are a special breed of sailors, I personally, saw them here and there in the islands and I would not wonder if the Master tried it,also at night because he knew the passage,,in his mind !!! With ships the size I sail, handy-size bulker one will not try something like that, but with a ship like that and those sailors,, It would not surprise me

Hi Captain Ted,
I don't know the reason of grounding.
But it occured during the night, and I like to think a master would not try to make a short at dark, in a so narrow pass.
Regards,
Yvon
