In reply to Ian Horsfall yes it was very interesting going back to Canada on the Baskerville empty in winter. In fact with some of the seas we encountered there was never a dull moment.
I was on the Baskerville from January 1962 to December 1963 as galley boy and then Asst Steward.

Baskerville and Caxton were regular visitors to Manchester, bringing in News Print and sailing in Ballast back to Canada, must have been 'Interesting" ballasting back to Canada in winter.
Nice ships to work on,nice foto Adenanthos,always nice to see ships in there work clothes

I see this vessel in a film clip "messing about in boats" a Britain on film documentary from the 1960's. Most of these clips can be found on YouTube. What happened to her in he end?
