Disch book I joined as extra ch eng at montreal on 31jan 83. We then
Had a slight altercation with some pinnacle rocks
In the st Lawrence near Quebec . The focsle flooded
And our quick thinking chief off pumped cargo aft
To prevent further damage. Anyone remember
This incident? it was at the time of the ice carnival
In Quebec . Kind regards to all cold but happy days ...

Thanks so much for posting this one. So many Canadian ships have disappeared over the past few years making photos like this so valuable. I was second mate on the Eskimo at the time. Too much time has passed for me remember much about when you would have taken this, but according to my discharge book I signed off 4 days later in Saint John.
Cheers and thanks again
