Mitko, Mitko, the vessel and her sister "Petko R. Slavejkov" were purchassed by Texim as ALMAC & ATRIA, after government inforced bancrupcy both vessels were renamed before delivery.

My data on the history of the ship are as follows: June 10, 1968 in Port Pula, Yugoslavia, raising the national flag newly built 13,260-ton general cargo ship "Ivan Vazov". His first command staff are Zivko Gavrilov captain and chief engineer Zdravko Yankov.
Members of the Fleet "Navibulgar" ship to sail in May 2000 when he was out of service. In the same year has been cut at Alang.

IVAN VAZOV was called ALMAK! She was built by Uljanik Shipyard as newbuilding 280 being launched in 1967 as ALMAK. Just before delivery ceremony in June 1968 she was renamed IVAN VAZOV.
So the Grosstonnage is wrong stating that she sailed as ALMAK until late May 1975.

According to Miramar (and presumably Marine News and their sources) she was launched as Almak !
