The cargo onboard ITB STRONG – MARINER was 162 units combat vehicles type MRAP M-ATV Hummer being unloaded at port of Rijeka.
The MRAP M-ATV Hummers were used in Afghanistan within the ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) mission.
This contingent of Hummer combat vehicles was donated to the Croatian army by the US Government and US Military Land Forces.
The received vehicles are 3 – 5 years old and have driven average 10,000 miles each.
After unloading at port of Rijeka, the 162 vehicles have been transported by railway to a military maintenance workshop in Zagreb, capital city of Croatia.
At Zagreb they will be thoroughly serviced & repainted from the previous beige-yellow camouflage colour into the green-grey camouflage colour.
