Description:

GAELIC FERRY was built in 1964 by Swan Hunter at Newcastle for the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co. She entered service initially between Tilbury and Rotterdam then Felixstowe-Europoort.When ASN operations were combined with Townsend-Thoresen she received their orange livery and then worked on many different Townsend-Thoresen routes in the 1980s, until sold in 1987. She was broken up in 1988.
I took this at Europoort in 1976 before the orange Townsend days.
