Worth reminding ourselves that this Woolwich free ferry is now 51 years old and has been plying the same short crossing for all of those years. Just imagine how many vehicles she has carried. Quite an evocative crossing for me today thinking back to all the times I must have been on her whilst still in my pram as a baby!
