Atrax was owned by late Capt Nikolas Papalios (Aegis Shipping, Piraeus, Greece). At the time Aegis was one of the major Greek companies with lots of SD 14's, general cargo ships and tankers. Today, Capt Nikolas grand son, George, continues the legacy albeit at a lower scale with Primal Shipmanagement Ltd in Piraeus, owning a few bulk carriers.
