"Wet" cement has short shelf life,hardening can only be delayed by adding granulated sugar. The cement is dry and unloaded by Pneumatis displacement

Nice photo. Nice looking ship given her age. All the deck gear/compartment housing might suggest she is a self-discharging cement carrier...?

Cement carriers are quite interesting for me. In what form is the cement carried? Dry powder or kept wet? When I say 'wet' I mean in the same sense that cement-mixing trucks carry it.
If in dry form, then why the need for all the additional structures on deck.
Wouldn't it be better to carry it in say, a bulker?
