The TALABOT was not scuttled offshore, but scuttled in Grand Harbour(Valletta harbour) on 26 March 1942.She was part of a convoy which reached besieged Malta but took several hits whilst being unloaded and caught fire.Because of a cargo of bombs and torpedoes on board there was a possibility that she will explode whilst in harbour , so she was scuttled.Later she was scrapped in place but her last remains were raised in the 80s. I have posted a photo of these remains being recovered by Dutch salvage company.
