She was one of the Tor Line series, she was launched as Tor Caledonia, she was sub-contracted to Kristiansands. She was sold to DSR on completion and renamed Fichtelberg. I have a photograph of her on trials as Tor Caledonia, but cannot post it on here as I'm unsure of it's provenance.

She wasnt part of the Tor Line series,as far as i recall those were all built in Framnaes,Norway, Tor Line always referred to them as the ''Framnaes Vessels'' or the ''Tor Gothia'' series - great,reliable vessels, and yes I agree, NSF operation was second to none..

Superb photo. Was Norcliff part of the Tor Line series of freighters? Certainly looks like one of them.

What a great operation North Sea Ferries was back in those days
