Thanks, Paul, for the hint. Delta Shipbuilding Company was one of the original nine emergency yards, built in 1941 with 6 ways, with $13mm from the USMC. It was managed by the American Ship Building Company. Its 6 ways were increased to 8 in the third wave of shipbuilding expansion. The shipyard was closed after the war: its site is on the west bank of the Industrial Canal in New Orleans.
