That is no man there ,just part of the anchor fluke, whilst that contraption hanging is some fish pot caught in the anchor when it was raised, as it can be discerned when photo is enlarged the line is hanging from the anchor not from the deck above. Regards.

SOLAS Regulation XI - 1/3, requires that all passenger ships of 100 GT and upwards and all cargo ships of 300 GT and upwards to be permanently marked with an identification number (IMO number).
And no, there is nobody sitting on the anchor chain, although it may seem like it. :)

Vlad
what SOLAS requirements you mean at this point ?

Looks to me like someone sits on "bosun-chair" in front of the anchor (you can see his head, which may look like part of the anchor) and what hangs down is the paint pot attached to a rope

IF TO PAY GREAT ATTENTION TO THE STARBOARD ANCHOR YOU CAN SEE SOMETHING LIKE A ROPE ATTACHED TO THE ANCHOR

Yes, they did, and it gives me hope that the missing digit from her IMO number will be spotted during the final coating touch-ups, so the vessel will need not worry about some over-eager Port State Control inspector detaining her on the grounds of non-compliance with SOLAS requirements. :)

:) I even looked on Full Screen & convinced myself !
They've also left some yellow paint on the white part.

Maybe it looks like it, but it's not, it's just an anchor. (You got me going through all the pics I made of Lizzie to check!) :)

There's also a gentleman hanging onto the anchor, no doubt giving that area a fresh lick of paint !

The name of the tanker was "Maritime Maisie", and she was damaged more than a year ago in a collision off Korean coast with car carrier "Gravity Highway". Now she is being repaired, and the name was changed to "Corona".
