View of one of the two main engines, together with propellor shaft leading aft: fitted with 2 X MAN B&W Niigata 6L28 HX diesels, each producing 1,618kW at 750 rpm.

Built in 2005 by Kanagawa Zosen, Kobe, Japan (533).
395 g.t., 250 dwt., & 65 tons bollard pull, as:
’Tadami Maru’ to 2007,
’Champion’ to 2007,
’Adsteam Intrepid’ to 2007 &
’Svitzer Intrepid’ since.

Bendt, you noticed?! Yes, that is exactly the first impression I took. There is an absurd amount of space in the ER on such a 'small' vessel. It even has a control room. We were discussing the fact that this generic type of Japanese tug has not changed much in decades. Guess they got the design right a long while ago!
