Description:

MV GUAYANA at Guaranao, Venezuela. My third ship as Chief Mate and with 12 single op. derricks to handle, maintain and service...jeje.
This one it's my 1000 shot on Shipspotting in almost 9 years. Thanks for your support.
With the type of cargo (waste paper bales) a lot of paper and pencil stability calculations needed. The initial GM calculations usually to the hell, and praying for good weather ( or at least no rain...you know,...the extra weight added by the absorption of water all over the deck cargo ) and on the other side, the danger of fire at any time. The sistership MV Santo Tome ( and from the same Ship. Company ) was destroyed by fire while discharging her cargo of waste paper at the same port 8 months before this shot was taken. I uploaded time ago several shots of the wreck.
Looks like one of todays mini-mega boxes jejeje, but with waste paper bales on deck (up to the bridge windows). The rolling period lasted an eternity ( in safe way of course ).

Photo scanned from an old 35mms. Sorry for the quality
Much better at Full Screen.

Hi Victor Radio74. Thanks for your kind comments. Sometimes I like to share my sealife old stories with shipspotting members because todays sealife its somehow quite different. A lot to tell (stories) of my years at sea. Thanks again my friend.
MBregards from La Palma.

Hi Marce. Thanks for your comments. Those old times with its sealife style regrettably...never again. Sealife was totally different and you could enjoy any situation, even the bad ones as experiences. Thanks again.
MBregards from La Palma, Canary Islands.
