Description:

The Doxford, Sunderland, 1971 built, Wallem managed, SOUTHERN LADY is seen passing Cuxhaven in 1983

Launched for Fafalios as ION, she was purchased by Harrison Line and delivered as BENEFACTOR

She was operated as SOUTHERN LADY by Naviera Interoceangas S.A. of Valparaiso between 1982 and 1987 when her name was oddly amended to LAD Y. by her new owner, Haltree Enterprises of Hounslow, London

In 1991 she was purchased by Wah Tak Marine Engineering Co Ltd of Hong Kong to operate as TONG SHUN until scrapped at Alang where she was beached on 29.1.98
