It appears the only photos on this site are in her current condition. Given Mr. Dot's association with the vessel, I wonder if he might have one taken during her prime...?

For someone who worked on her, her fate must be double heart-breaking...
Anyway, a good example of good intentions gone nowhere, thus "sic transit gloria mundi".
In 2005, already 5 years retired, she still resembled a working ferry:

Also, although being of older design, similar "Coho" still sails...

This famous relic was once my workplace when I was a deckhand back in the 1960's and of course was BC's first BC ferry, and what dignity she has been granted! mrdot.

Thank you for your comment, Andre.

The stern shot I took after obviously disregarding the No trespassing sign, but I went no closer than that. (In my other hobby I'd be more hardcore, almost to the point of being considered a grave robber.) :)
The photo from the boat is an excellent one - I thought of the possibility of searching for some available tour boat ride from Mission, but did not have time.
Now I guess this famous relic is covered from all angles...

Interesting series Vlad. You walked a little further down the tracks than I did where my April 9th shot was taken. On the actual side where ship is tied up I was reluctant to walk up to vessel given the No trespassing / Private Property signs. This past December I posted a similar photo taken from the water by a friend who was on the river at the time in a powerboat. I've been trying to find out the names of the wrecks flanking her bow and stern. To date no shipspotter on the lower mainland have come forward with possible names.
