Description:

MAID OF THE LOCH at her permanent berth at Balloch on Loch Lomond where she is undergoing restoration.
Built by A & J Inglis, Pointhouse, Glasgow, the same yard which built PS WAVERLEY, with engines by Rankin & Blackmore, Greenock who also supplied the engines for the Waverley.

Her history, as shown in 'Vessel identification' is a load of rubbish ! This little lady has never been anything other than the MAID OF THE LOCH and she has not sailed anywhere other than on Loch Lomond.

After being built in Glasgow she was deconstructed and the various sections of her were taken to Balloch by rail where, on the specially built slipway, she was reassembled.

Jim, I hope she can be restored to working order like her older, and bigger, sister. I can remember seeing her on the loch in her white livery and she was a splendid sight.
