Description:
The Algontario (730ft, built 1960) upbound in the St. Lawrence approaching Alexandria Bay, NY. Taken 4/21/06. Started her life as Cartiercliffe Hall, several men died in an onboard fire in 1979 and one during her refit in 1980. Also ran aground in 1999. Data from "Know your Ships - 2005".
Not the best lighting conditions but I've been waiting to see this Algoma ship for a few years.
