Hydrograaf was originally steam but now diesel. The steam anchor winch remains on the fo'cas'le.

Behind her is Mark Twain. A genuine US sternwheeler with steam main engines and a "steam doctor". I never got on board and she subsequently burned.

The ship was built in 1910 at Rotterdam. She served Dutch Navy till 1964. In twenties and thirties she was used by Dutch Queens to visiting Dutch islands.
